Beverley Hicklin has been a glass bead maker for some years and during this time there have been many occasions when she's needed to know how to do something or where to find someone. Most of the time the answer has been available on the internet, but only when you're prepared to spend endless hours looking for it.

It is intended, over time, to build this site into a useful 'port of call' where you will be able to find lots of interesting information related to lampwork glass bead making.

There may be things you've seen before, or not, either way hopefully everyone will find something of interest at some stage.

See our FAQ section for help with some of your questions:

How do I choose my first torch?

How important is ventilation?

What equipment do I need to get started?

How long will it take me to become a good bead maker?

What is annealing?

We'd love to hear from you with your ideas and for you to share what you've been doing. If we like it, we'll feature you and give you a name check.

We have a section for lampworking tutorials and articles and if we feature your article or tutorial we'll give you a free banner advert on the site.

We will also have some opportunities for advertisers but we will keep this small scale and relevant to the ethos of the site.

See our Contributor Guidelines for further details of banner advertising.

You may have a question or want to share something new with other glass bead makers. In any case, get in touch if you'd like to be considered for publication.
